Recommend Highway Glider to your friends.
Always accelerate very slowly and gently; especially when you are driving up a slope.
Put on your seat belt first, and then start the engine.
Anticipate stops. Every time you touch the break pedal, you are losing a 1-2 pennies and those pennies do add up to dollars.
Good Driving = Minimal Use of Brake Pedal
Red Lights Ahead = Do not touch the gas pedal anymore
Steady (cruise control) speed is always good, but you can very slightly and gradually increase your speed (within acceptable safe range) when coming down a slope/hill or overpass.
Check your tire pressure to make sure that your tires do not have low air pressure.
Do not carry any extra weight (useless accessories) than necessary in your vehicle.
Challenge: Your vehicle should not weigh more than 3-5 lbs than the weigh it rolled with out of the assembly line.
Minimize the unnecessary cargo racks and roof storage bins outside of the body of the car.
Parking in a Mall during Christmas?: Park it Sooner – so that you can get out easily and SAVE GAS.
Don't Rev Up the Engine Before Shutting Off the Ignition – it is a complete waste of fuel
Best time to buy gas is around 10:00 am in the warning when the underground tanks are at coolest temperature. (one gallon at cooler temperature is always more than one gallon when the liquid expands at warmer temperature).
Your car will always yield much higher mpg during warm summer months than winter months due to the fact that air density (drag resistance) in warmer temperature is much less than thicker air in colder temperatures.   For example at 75 mph cruising speed: If you get 35 mpg at 75 mph and 85oF temp during summer, you will get only 25 mpg at 35oF temp in the winter.
